DirectoryPart of The Specusphere's aim is to develop a comprehensive directory for Australian speculative industries.  This includes all of the categories you see listed on the left and is designed to accomdate all sorts of arenas, from writing and editing through to artwork, live performance and retail sales of speculative fiction related products.  If you have something to contribute to speculative fiction creators, then our directory is the place for you.  And it's free!

Some of the benefits of being listed in our directory are:

  • Free advertising directed towards a specific market
  • Visitors to The Specusphere can email you directly using the form on your directory page (without actually revealing your email address)
  •  It allows you to network with other similarly focused businesses and individuals

How do I apply to be listed in the directory?

If you want to be included in this directory, please register  first.  Once you have registered, you will start to receive our email bulletins and you will be eligible for a listing on our directory.  Please then contact us with your user name, full contact details you want to appear on the site, description of yourself or your business and which section of the directory you wish to appear in.  All listings in this directory are free currently, however, if you wish to include a business logo, it will cost $20.  Photos are free for individuals, but donations are appreciated.  Please click here to view payment options.

Can international organisations or individuals be listed in the directory?

The directory is primarily for Australians so usually international websites will only be listed in the International Web Links section.  If your site is listed in this section, people will not be able to email you directly from our website, but they can click on a link to visit your website.

Aside from the obvious costs involved in maintaining a limitless directory, part of the reason for this rule is that otherwise our directory might become so unspecific (with people spread all over the world) that it loses its usefulness to Australians.  As much as we would like to encourage international collaboration, The Specusphere is first and foremost about Australian speculative fiction creators, and helping them connect with each other and the production/publishing industries at large.

For listings in the directory (or anywhere on The Specusphere) we appreciate you considering a reciprical link on your own website.  Feel free to use either of the banners below.  Right-click on the image and go to 'Save Target As' (or similar) to save it to your computer.
