Full Auto 2 demo slams into PS3
Two helpings of fender-bending games coming to PS Store; Full Auto 2: Battlelines, Destruction Derby for PSP due out today.
Racing fans probably aren't complaining about the Sony's PlayStation Store, part of the online experience of the PlayStation 3. In addition to the downloadable game GripShift and PlayStation port of Jet Moto for the PlayStation Portable, demos for Motorstorm and Gran Turismo HD Concept are currently available for free.
Two more games that would give Driver's Ed teachers headaches are headed to the online store today. First up is the demo for Full Auto 2: Battlelines, the PS3 combat racing game from Sega and developer Pseudo Interactive. Full Auto 2 was originally released on December 7; for more information, read GameSpot's review.
For PSP owners looking for some old-school racing action, Sony is offering up the PS title Destruction Derby. The combat car-racing game was originally launched in 1995 by Psygnosis and Reflections. The game will be available for download for $5.99.
Sony also revealed that new trailers for upcoming movies from Sony Pictures will also be ready for download, but did not say which movies will be represented.

Sony is scrambling to catch up to Microsoft in the online console support. They have a long way to go, but it appears as if somebody at Sony is finally starting to see the big picture. Having Sony movies featured for download on the PS3 seems like a no-brainer to anybody who was paying attention, and should have been implemented back on November 17th when the console launched.

yay the ps3 is fighting bak. it seems that the 360 is getting all the good demos (at least first) such as GRAW 2

all in all i love the playstation store, i just wish demos came out the same time Xbox live demos came out for the multi platform games (DEF JAM ICON). someday im sure demo releases will come out side by side. and i wonder how W ii will handle demoes, and i bet you can download DS demoes thorugh the wii WIRELESSLY i just flippin know it yo. word out to jeff g.

THE PLAYSATATION STORE IS JUST A LAME WEBPAGE, it does not even use flash, i really hope they make the whole playstation netowork prettier, all it is is a IM client and a downloading website and games that support there own online funtionality. THATS ALL THERE IS, sure there is mediocre video and voice chat but thats without the mulitasking and in game funtionality, there only stand alone. i cant wait for serious updates, XMB soul feature is how FAST it is to navigate which is great, key work is MEDIA within the xross media bar. i love my plastation 3.

I guess the good news is that this game is another demo from a publisher other than SCEA or 2K7......let's hope more publishers or developers start releasing this kind of content too.

Well, the PS Store is still in its infancy and kinda blows in content right now but it is picking up...Sony has been adding new content aaaaaalmost on an every Thursday basis this month...keep at it Sony!!!

Man forget that. i'm playing Megaman X4 on my PSP right now then afterwards I'm gonna play me some FF VII and then some ther PS1. I don't even own a PS3 so how do I do it??? Play PS1 games with out a PS3. LOL

I heard that according to the real video game critics (and i believe them too) that the controls in this unnecessary sequel to the XBOX 360 exclusive suck just like they do in the previous installment,you feel me?

meh! id rather play GTHD instead, never was a big fan of full auto, come on sony where is that next-gen twisted metal, that could be incredible if done right, i thought twisted metal black was an awesome game, get to work sony

beto08 DEF JAM ICON DEMO Is on the 360... And other then really cool graphics and decent fighting your not missing much. You cant even finish a fight, feels more like a tech demo showing you what it will look like. I would really like a 2nd demo that feels more for selling the game.

I just picked up full auto 1 for the 360, im kind of likeing, but im still in the tutorial area. For destruction derby, it was a very impressive game in 1995, but now its not worth the 5.99 price. That game has definetly aged badly in my book, nothing special there.

For those saying the PS1 games should be playable on the PS3:
As soon as the PSP's own PS Store is up and running the PS1 games will be removed from the PS3's store. This is the only reason they're on the store right now. These games were specifically altered to be played on the PSP so they won't work on the PS3.

Wow are you serious a demo for a game thats only been out for 2 month ...man that is pure genius. Maybe next time they can get the other demos out for the rest of the games that are out oh and some more psp demos man because thats why i bought a ps3 because the psp is awesome...NOT!

Well The PS3 lacks many things for an online community that the Xbox360 has. But eh I don't realy care. If you love Sony's PS3 then this is good news for you, if not eh I could care less. All this fan boy hate is getting on my nerves can't we all just get along?

cool. i've always wanted to try Full Auto 2; but with all the medicore-to-bad reviews, i felt pretty iffy plunking down $60 for the game. now, i'll just try the demo for free. but i have a question: when will Sony start making all those PSOne classics playable on the PS3, and not just the PSP?

So much racing action! Thank goodness Tekken is coming out soon to change things up a bit. Too bad PS1 downloads aren't playable on the PS3 yet. But I'm sure that in time that will change.

While it's not worth the $60, I still don't understand why pretty much no one likes Full Auto. It could be a lot more polished, but I thought it was a blast. Would of made the perfect rental for me. Now, if only more than two people played online...
