Vampires and werewolves just can't get along. If they could, there wouldn't be movies like Underworld. Kate Beckinsale stars as a hunter whose job is to kill every last werewolf she can find.
There's nothing groundbreaking here, but critics say action junkies will be moderately entertained. Cuba Gooding Jr. is back with a new comedy called The Fighting Temptations. If your expectations are sufficiently low -- and if you've seen his previous comedies, they will be low -- the movie may catch you unawares like it did with some of the critics. Although schmaltzy, Secondhand Lions, a coming-of-age tale with three fine actors, is a gentle movie the whole family can watch.
And finally, Cold Creek Manor, starring Sharon Stone and Dennis Quaid, is too implausible and clichéd for most critics to recommend. Find out about the other new releases. |
