The Broadway

The Broadway has been transformed into a top class modern performance base for the Borough.

 

The building has been completely redesigned by Tim Foster Architects, and rebuilt throughout at a cost of £4.8 million. It has a new glass façade with lighting and landscaping, providing high quality performing arts facilities to the wider community and providing accommodation to Barking College School of Performing Arts.

The Malthouse

The Malthouse building on Abbey Road has been refurbished to provide workspace for cultural industries and accommodation for arts groups, in the first stage of the development of a cultural industries quarter.

 

The adjoining site has been purchased by the London Development Agency to expand this facility.
