He had five assists against the Devils Thursday to become just the second rookie defenceman in NHL history to notch five or more helpers in a single game.

A plus to Blue Jackets GM Doug MacLean for giving a young fan in Vancouver a day he'll never forget.
A kid wearing a Rick Nash jersey was standing outside GM Place desperately hoping for a glimpse of his hero. MacLean walked him through security and had Nash meet and personally autograph a stick for him after practice.

Rod Brind'Amour gets a plus for absolutely refusing to surrender. He took a wicked knee-on-knee hit from the Leafs Alexei Ponikarovsky.
Later he took a similar hit from Carlo Colaiacovo. And if that wasn't enough, he took another from his own teammate Justin Williams. But Brind'Amour just wouldn't stay down.
