A New-ey Era Unveiled

The Adrian Newey era was officially unveiled on Friday as Red Bull Racing presented its RB3 challenger. The new car is characteristic of the designs Newey produced while at McLaren. Team officials have high hopes for the car, targeting a fifth place finish in 2007.

Over the course of the next month, Formula One teams will present their 2007 lineups and liveries.

CASCAR

J.R. Fitzpatrick captured his first career Super Series championship, finishing 45 points ahead of teammate Don Thomson Jr., who had won five consecutive titles from 2001 to 2005.

Established in 1981,CASCAR (Canadian Association for Stock Car Racing) is the governing body for amateur and professional stock car racing in Canada. Today it boasts the highest level of stock car racing in the nation, and sanctions Canada’s premier stock car racing series, the CASCAR Super Series. In May of 2007, the series will be known as the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series following its purchase by the U.S. stock car series.

Canadian Superbike

Jordan Szoke clinched his third career Parts Canada Superbike Championship with an eighth-place finish in the final round of the season at Shannonville Motorsport Park. Szoke became just the third rider in the 26-year history of the Canadian national Superbike series to win three championships. He also won in 1998 and 2002.

The Parts Canada Superbike Series is Canada's national motorcycle road racing tour designed to provide top ranked competition for Expert and experienced riders on various types of motorcycles.
