Capcom just sent me a Collector's Edition of Lost Planet along with this sweet little VS to add to my growing video game action figure collection. Yes, that's a Lego me standing in front of the giant robot... don't ask. Brian Crecente

Live Arcade Gonna Get Go?

Could the classic board game Go be coming to Xbox Live Arcade? Well I suppose that all depends on how the hunt for a programmer goes. Someone on the Eurogamer forums unearthed a job listing on JobServe.com for a programmer to work on the game. C++ Developer - Xbox 360 games. Experience of C/C++ programming. Development on at least one game title and a working knowledge of 2D graphics, 3D graphics, DirectX, networking and Xbox/Xbox 360.

How do you get a game programming job without the 1 game experience?

Motion Controls Coming to Godfather Wii, PS3

Who would have thunk it, Electronic Arts is bringing a popular franchise over to two more consoles? The company today announced The Godfather: The Don's Edition for the Playstation 3 and The Godfather: Blackhand Edition for the Wii. The PS3 version will ship with the Corleone Expansion Pack, which features new gameplay and missions, as well as a new Shipyard and Rail yard to explore. The game will also make use of the Sixaxis motion controls to let you shake people around.

but now there are parental controls

If you don't want to move, don't play Rayman's Raving Rabbids..btw, it's pretty fun.

I am addicted to Wii Madden. I wish I could play vs someone on another console.

This Day in Gaming, January 11th

2005: Capcom releases Resident Evil 4 for Gamecube in the US. It's a game that redefines the platform and the series. Jason Chen from Gizmodo said: "I wouldn't know because I only played it for 30 minutes before puking". I guess it made him dizzy. 2006: Capcom releases Mega Man X Collection for PS2 and GameCube. It's all the Mega Man X titles in one convenient package. I didn't buy this reiteration, but I was excited to pick up the Anniversary Collection to rock it on my Xbox.

a.k.a. the day the fixed the Resident Evil control scheme

Surprise! Dead Rising To Rise Again

Who'd a thunk? A game that moves over a million copies gets a sequel, becomes a franchise. Shocked, we are. Truly. Talking about Dead Rising, Capcom's Mark Beaumont says: When you're at the front-end of a hardware cycle, people are willing to take more of an experiment in what games they'll try. Bringing out Dead Rising has allowed us to establish a new franchise that we can use for years to come.

Left 4 Dead Details Emerge In Search Of Brains

If you remember when we first caught wind of this game, I got a little excited. A co-operative shooter set in a zombie apocalypse? Yeah. Now...I'm a little more excited. The first details about the game have surfaced from a Q&A; the developers submitted themselves to with GameSpot, and among the highlights are: The initial four campaigns of Left 4 Dead include both urban areas and rural areas, with lots of dense architecture and challenging landscapes.

I envision a sort of trainer for the coming of the zombies where you learn the do's and don'ts of fighting the zombies.

Yeah, I've always wanted a zombie co-op. It only makes sense. One cannot fight the hoards alone. Playing as a zombie will be sweet too. I wish they'd make a Night of the Living Dead game where you could play as Ben (or you could be Barbara and wig out).
