Tales From Retail Hell

An EB Games employee known only as DC has whipped up a really great webcomic about the trials and tribulations of working at one of the world's largest game retailers. The art style is simple and cute and the story is dead on. The first episode, appropriately titled "Rated M: for Moron", pits our intrepid clerk against a botox toting soccer mom and her little brat over a copy of GTA.

@Fett

Yeah, I remember one time I went to see Silent Hill. I've seen several kids under the age 13 in the movie theatre. I was thinking to myself "Omg, are these parent freaking nut?!"
Even I seen babies in a Freddy VS Jason movie!

God, what this world coming to?

Guitar Heros 80s Edition Coming

Gaming Target reports that the latest issue of EGM has a look at Guitar Hero: 1980s Edition. I'll give you a second to stop squealing. It's OK, I did that too. The game is already in production and due out this spring, according to the article. No word on whether it will be hitting the Xbox 360 version as a download pack, but why wouldn't it?

M-m-mullet!

Crecente, you been googling way too much.

Kotaku Magu: Game Creator New Year's Cards

In Japan, New Year's postcards are the equivalent of Christmas cards. Called "nengajou," they are sent in late December. Nintendo Dream has a bunch of New Year's cards from famous game creators. Actually, most of them seem to just be autographs with New Year's messages scribbled in, but they're still pretty neat. Above is Shigeru Miyamoto's, complete with a self-portrait and drawing of Nintendo president Satoru Iwata. Hit the jump for the rest!

I would love to have that Zelda TP one! *_*

I wished Nintendo would release somekind of nice ZTP artbooks.. This year Zelda doesn't have much illustration work compairing WW, MM, and OoT.

Clip: Wii Charge Stations, New PS3 Controller

Nyko shows off some of their cool upcoming accessories in this clip. My favorite two, I think are the Wii charging station and new PS3 controller. Though some of that DS Lite stuff is cool too. Brian Crecente

I really would like that lite up DS stylus.. Look niffy!

The PS3 controller look pretty "sharp" on the edge like it can cut your hand..

NPD: Mario, Madden Top Software List

The Playstation 2's Madden NFL 07 was the top selling video game of 2006, by a wide margin. Next up was New Super Mario Bros for the DS followed by ube-shooter Gears of War. Hit the jump for the full list as well as the top games for December and top titles across all platforms for December.

@jeffx

Not everyone own a Wii, a lot of people don't have it yet.
Even I own a GCN Zelda since I can't wait till I get a Wii and then get the game.

Heavenly Sword Dated For Yanks

The we-can't-wait-to-buy-it Heavenly Sword has gotten dated. The title will drop March 6th in the US according to Sony Computer Entertainment of America's website. No word on Japan yet. This red-headed "Goddess of War" game got generally favorable reviews (impressions?) at last year's E3. Can't wait.

Her hair look freakin weird... It like someone put stringful of red play-dohs on her head.

Yes, she need to get some of those Clear eyes eyedrop.

The Biggest Disappointment of CES

There's nothing more disappointing than the promise of gawking at dozens of pornstars after having played Need For Speed: Carbon on an exercise bike and being denied. If I'd have known the above, I'd never have come to this hellhole. Michael...

Oh joy... Not another scary porno convention again this year....

The convention is just freaky, I saw a scary ugly old looking hooker (she about 60 years old with fake long haired wig) flirting my co-worker and he only 30 years old.

Also, you will see ladies with hugggge boob-job bigger than a size D cup hang over walking around in public at the Venetian Hotel and Casino.

*shudder at the sight I saw one*

ASUS XG Station Laptop Graphics Dock

While I love me some laptop computers, I've generally avoided them after my first purchase several years ago left me with a machine not graphically powerful enough to run the games I wanted to play. Unless you purchase a high-end gaming laptop you'll get stuck with a low-end graphics chip that generally isn't very upgradeable, if at all. ASUS is looking to end all of that with the XG Station, the world's first external graphics card docking station for laptops.

Wonder if this work on a Mac Notebook Pro?
