Why It Rocked: When it comes to adventure games on Cube, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is pretty much the biggest no-brainer possible. For starters, there was only one other adventure game on the system this year period, and while Harvest Moon was entertaining you'd have to be a madman to deny Link the prize. That being said, it really doesn't matter how many other games there could have been, as Twilight Princess once again shows fans the epitome of classic adventure gameplay. The quest boasts over 50 hours of gameplay, features all the age-old elements of the Zelda franchise (immense dungeons, massive bosses, and gadgets that could make James Bond blush), and wraps it all up in a beautifully designed world. If that doesn't say "Year's best adventure game" to you, we don't know what would.
