As if you don't waste enough of your time in a gamer's haze, here's Kotaku: a gamer's guide that goes beyond the press release. Gossip, cheats, criticism, design, nostalgia, prediction. Don't get a life just yet.
You might have read Lukle Plukett's article earlier this week about Turtle Studios' new co-op survival horror game, Left 4 Dead. Just reading Luke's words got me excited about it as well. The more I read the more I wanted to play it, especially when I realized I shared Luke's desire to be a blood vomiting zombie. sounds like a blast. Check out this trailer for some very dark zombie action.
@Kenzya
Zombies can be controlled by humans which kinda makes this like a retail version of zombie mod.
Not all servers allow camping, some force you to work as a team and run and gun, which i prefer.
To stop the international copyright laws that have been plaguing The Pirate Bay, they are looking to purchase the micronation of Sealand. This nation is really just a British naval platform in the North Sea. Donating to the cause will guarantee you citizenship at Sealand. The "island" of Sealand, seven miles off the coast of southern England, was settled in 1967 by an English major, Paddy Roy Bates.
It would never work because BUSH is gona use the WAR ON TERROR excuse and send thousands of troops over. XD
Hit the jump for two more. Man, I just can't get enough of this stuff. And that airstrike video (number three). Holy shit! Brian Crecente
i agree with GalacticAE Raven shield and then athena sword expansion was as far as i went with R6, after that they ballsed it all up with lockdown which turned into a CS type game. games now days are more designed to look pretty rather than anything else its kinda like all the developers are having a pissing contest.
If you remember when we first caught wind of this game, I got a little excited. A co-operative shooter set in a zombie apocalypse? Yeah. Now...I'm a little more excited. The first details about the game have surfaced from a Q&A; the developers submitted themselves to with GameSpot, and among the highlights are: The initial four campaigns of Left 4 Dead include both urban areas and rural areas, with lots of dense architecture and challenging landscapes.
On CS:S there is a zombie mod which is quite fun to play but it all depends on the variables. Some servers run with infinite ammo for CT and Zombies have energy around 5000hp or more, which levels the odds or some have CT with standard clips and zombies with less energy but to do real damage headshots are required, either way the maps make all the difference with most maps you have the chance to knock over tables, vending machines etc in order to cover you routes. Overall I would like to see how they tackle the difference I abilities and whether they overpower each other.
You really needn't be sitting down for this news. Instead, just go on about your daily life and expect that Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops sequel for the PSP, just like you probably were before you read this post. Ryan Payton, assistant producer for the Kojima Productions game and host of The Kojima Productions Report, told the folks at PSM that: "If [Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops is] successful on the retail level there will definitely be a sequel." See how easy that was?
you americans will probably see the next episode before the first MPO is released in the UK. I hate waiting forever the some of the best titles, why cant they just do a world release.
Not only do owners of Sonic the Hedgehog have to suffer through bad gameplay, poor camera angles and lousy design decisions, but they also must endure painful loading, the kind that hurts in waves like a series of soft flicks to the family chaos emeralds. Anyone with the PlayStation 3 version on pre-order ought to watch the above clip, just to see what kind of mess they might be getting themselves into. Bravo, Sonic Team! Another job well done!
OMFG i cant understand how on earth this game made it to gold, play testers must have outlined this as a problem. unless everyone was on SPEED and didnt notice the loadtimes.
Whilst following a lead on a Resident Evil Umbrella up for auction on eBay, I actually found something much more interesting. This is a series of four different Airsoft guns based on the weapons used in the Biohazard series or as it's known here in the states, Resident Evil!
Yeh my mate bought the SAM EDGE because hes a die hard RES EVIL fan, i decide to go for the MARUI MK23 SOCOM because i love MGS (Silencer kinda works aswell).
in general they are quite fun to use, a little high in maintenance though. I also got to mess around with that 8incher revolver aswell, its nice but i felt it would be more useful as a hammer.
Alright that's certainly a bit of hyperbole, one game can't save a video game system, well, not usually. But Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops certainly stands a chance at reinvigorating the flagging portable console from Sony. Released to mostly glowing reviews here in the U.S., the game has gone on to win over the hearts and minds of the Japanese. According to Jeux-France, the game sold about 100,000 copies on its launch day in Japan.
when is this damn game coming out in the UK, i think i might just import. it makes no sence to me why game release are delayed over in the UK, SEGA Gen collection is out in JAN but already made to the US, but i decide to import that.
As the intertubes get filled with "best-of's" and "top whatever" lists (look forward to ours!), Michael Zenke at his MMOG Nation blog has a thoughtful round-up of the most innovative games over the past two years. (There's also a list of least innovative games, so swing by, check 'em out.) Here are the best three with choice sound-bytes: Half-Life 2 This, right here, is 'next generation' gaming.
You hear about "THE CROSSING" apparently that is the next innovative game to come out by valve my merging single and mulitiplayer. theres limited info at CSNation
To celebrate the US release of their album, Shiny Toy Guns is teaming up with the Giz to give away some winter snowboarding gear: A Burton Audex jacket with Bluetooth cellphone/iPod controls, a 30GB iPod Video, and an autographed copy of STG's album, We Are Pilots. Click on through, take a poll, and you're in the running.
