Wiis Hit Amazon In The Morning

WIIMake sure you set your alarm early tomorrow, kids, as you'll get another chance to score a Nintendo Wii at Amazon. It's unclear what may be tacked on to this particular sale, but don't be surprised to get the bundle screwjob.

From the product page:

Wii Available for Purchase 12/29: The Nintendo Wii will again be available for purchase on Amazon.com on 12/29, Friday morning, at some point between 7am and 11am PST. We will be limiting purchases to one per household. We anticipate that we will sell through our inventory very quickly as demand for this product continues to be very high. At this time, we do not have any information on future Nintendo Wii offers, but we will post updates on future availability on this page.

I know I'll be setting my alarm for 6:58 AM and crawling like a zombie to the computer to try and snag one. Thanks to my sister (WTF?) for the tip!

Ironic how you post this right after my friend calls me to ask where he can get a Wii. Mr. Kotaku are you psychic?

This sale will last 3.6 seconds, just like all the others... Man, I need a bot, or a trained monkey to click on the refresh button on that page as often as possible...

A shame I'm about $50 short in my bank account, because I'm going to be up all night. I meant to put that extra cash in weeks ago, so it's really screwed me. Looks like I won't be getting a Wii until March.

if it is gonna last 3.6 seconds. Don't forget to set your browser's addy to the Amazon server for your fastest connection. Thats vague enough for only the hardcore Kotakuites to get it.

*Checks amazon.ca* Bastards...... lucky americans

If I pointed out they have the same deal on PS3s, would I catch flack from all the people who were trying to keep it secret to improve their chances?

If you actually want a PS3 look on ebay. A lot of auctions even with shipping are going under retail price even on the 60 giggers. A lot of Wiis are going over retail price even without 40 dollar ship fees.

I searched forever before finding my Christmas Wii. Finally got it thanks to Kotaku's ToysR'Us tip. Mucho Gracias! Then yesterday I stopped at Target to pick up Zelda on sell and the clerk mentioned that they'd had no less than sixteen Wiis in stock for several days now. Anybody who wants one feel free to stop by Orange Park, Florida.

I wonder how the hits will compare to that of the 360 sale several weeks ago?

Why would you need Amazon or eBay to get a PS3? I though they were in reasonable amount in various stores now due to low sells and resells by those who couldn't get a good sell on eBay?

Hmmm, Orange Park. The name alone makes it sound worth visiting.

eBay? If I want a box of rocks I'll go the the quarry. Who would do business with someone bought a PS3 at this point, and wants to sell it below cost, unopened...

They just added:

Note to those purchasing a console: Due to the unique nature of this product and the handling required, the promised shipping date may not be accurate. While we expect that most units purchased will ship within the next week, the date indicated immediately after completing your purchase may reflect a different ship date. We encourage you to be patient and check back later.

lol I can drive down the road and get PS3 right now at the closest gamestop. Clerk told me he couldnt move PS3s, but his Wiis wont last more than 20 minutes.

wow it just went up while i was posting. and then when i tried to click add to cart, it was telling me some crap about some SD card, and now theyre gone... :(

interesting thing (my apologies for triple posting) it doesnt say sold out, and still has the notice up for avaialability, but it doesnt have the add to cart button any more... Are they playing games with us?

No commenter image uploaded dog13000 says:

Well, the message is still up.

Maybe they are putting a few from the stock out every hour?

No commenter image uploaded flameel says:

I thought i saw it go in stock a while back but it wouldn't let me add it to cart. Now i see a new out of stock message, is this one for real, or is the site just bugging out?

No commenter image uploaded seajc says:

I always get the sold out message when I refresh now...

Apparently, there are still be PS3's to be had sometime in the next 90 minutes though...

NeoSamurai- What was the price when you saw it?

No commenter image uploaded burnblue says:

Auto-refreshing all day, then I step out of my office for a minute and get back and they're sold out?

Amazon and Nintendo hate me. I hate you Nintendo, for teasing me for over a year, getting me obsessed, promising me supply, and then NOT SUPPLYING ME A CONSOLE.

I want my life back.

250, it was the console alone
