Telltale throws us a Bone update

Director's Cut heralds arrival of new features and engine updates for Out from Boneville and The Great Cow Race

Telltale Games has released Director's Cut versions of its adventure games Bone: Out from Boneville and Bone: The Great Cow Race, both available via download for $12.99 each - or in a $19.99 bundle.

Both titles have been updated: A new animated prologue at the beginning of Out from Boneville, which provides backstory and establishes the episode in a larger context; Updated voice acting and character model for female protagonist Thorn in Out from Boneville, to more closely resemble her characterization in The Great Cow Race; Technical improvements, such as scalable resolutions and better game stability; Added dialogue lines to improve story flow and enhance character development.

Telltale has also informed us that it plans to release CD versions of the Director's Cut Bone games in January, each costing $17.99, which can be ordered now.

For anyone unaware, the Bone saga is an episodic series of point-and-click adventures that focus on cousins Fone Bone, Phoney Bone and Smiley Bone and their, ah, adventures that kick off when they find themselves in a mysterious valley after being run out of their hometown of Boneville.
