Kaplan: Component Cables at Retail

by Shawn White (2006-11-03)

In an interview with Game Informer Online, Nintendo of America's Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communications Perrin Kaplan revealed that component cables for Wii will be sold in retail outlets, as well as online.

According to Kaplan, many major electronic outlets, such as Best Buy, GameStop and Circuit City, will carry the component cables in-store and online beginning on launch day. Users may also purchase the cables from Nintendo.com. This confirmation nullifies previous reports that the component cables would only be sold online at launch.

As a side note, when asked if the "enhanced" Wii with DVD functionality expected to arrive in Japan during 2007 will come to other territories, Kaplan only responded, "Stay tuned."
