404 Errors

If you are encountering File Not Found (404) errors when running one of the online tools it is probably because an old version of the applet has been cached on your system. Clearing the browsers cache and restarting it may fix the problem. In some cases your service provider may also be caching web material and inadvertantly provide you with old content.

Website Content

The redesign of the IPS web site involved a complete reorganisation of content layout. Providing transparent redirection from old to new would have been extremely complex and probably have driven IT support completely insane ;-).

We hope you find that the benefits of the new design far outweigh the inconvenience of broken bookmarks. Please re-bookmark (or re-link) as there are NO plans for any further changes to URLs.

If you are having problems finding any content on the new site that is available on the old IPS website please mail webhelp@ips.gov.au

Viewing IPS Site

IPS recommends the use of Internet Explorer 5.5/Netscape 6.0/Mozilla 1.0 (or later) with a minimum resolution of 800 x 600 pixels.

Many reports and other documents are published in Adobe Acrobat format, for which you will need the Acrobat Viewer, available from Adobe.

Navigating and Searching

The site is organised into eight (8) main categories. These categories can be accessed from any pages below the IPS banner. Each category will have it's own category menu. This can be accessed from the left hand side of the page.

Should you wish to search on a particular keyword(s) or subject, then you can do so by clicking on the search link above. This search link will be available on all pages.
