Designed by families and professionals, the Connelly
Resource Center is dedicated to meeting families' special needs when a
child needs care. Our services and programs, along with our staff and
volunteers, support a caring and effective partnership between families
and the healthcare team.

The
Family Learning Center
The Family Learning Center is a place where families
can learn both the basic and specialized skills they need to help them
care for their child at home from CPR and breast feeding to caring for
a child on a ventilator. Our two classrooms and learning lab are used
both for scheduled classes and for personal instruction or training arranged
by a child's healthcare team member.
Current classes include:
- Apnea Monitoring
- Breastfeeding
- CPR
- Central Line

- Injections
- Nebulizer Training
- Tube Feedings

There are educational videos, printed materials and
computer-assisted learning tools available on a variety of topics. The latest
developments in teaching models and mannequins are also in the Learning

The
Family Library
The Family Library is a quiet, comfortable place
where families can find healthcare, parenting and recreational information
in a variety of formats.
We offer:
- librarian assistance books for children and
adults
- newspapers and pamphlets
- magazines (educational and recreational)
- photocopier, fax machine and outlet for PC
laptop
- Internet access (4 computers) and a system
printer
- word processing capability
- comfortable reading areas
- recreational videos for all ages

The Children's Library
This is a fun place for children to learn. Children
will find books on a broad range of topics, especially books that focus
on healthcare. The library is also equipped with computers and videotapes
to help children enjoy their learning. A weekly story hour is held every
Thursday at 2 pm. Brothers and sisters are always welcome. For more information,
