Four black and white pictures of soldiers participating in various exercises supported by the US Army Medical Department Battle Simulation Center.

Do you need to get more out of your training exercise?

Do you need to find a more efficient way to train your unit/staff?

Do you need to incorporate the use of Army Battle Command Systems into your training exercise?

The AMEDD Battle Simulation Center is equipped and prepared to support your training requirements.  Just complete the "Training Request" form and let us start working for you.

The use of computer terminals, monitors and other equipment to simulate battle conditions rather than fielding an actual brigade of soldiers to run through war games is more cost-efficient and keeps in line with the Department of Defense's downsizing initiative without sacrificing readiness.  As an added benefit, many of today's constructive simulations are able to link with other simulations as well as operational systems, such as the Army Battle Command Systems and Military Health Systems.  Using current operational systems and simulations in a linked environment, users build a simulated battlefield environment where casualties are created, treated, and evacuated to the appropriate level of medical care.  Participants must also plan for supplies, evacuation routes, and a wide variety of other actions in order to successfully "Conserve the Fighting Strength".

Benefits

Conduct rehearsals, wargame courses of action and develop effective responses to battlefield events

Supply, sustain, and reconstitute the force

Task organize and maneuver realizing time-space factors

Improve terrain utilization, synchronization training and reporting procedures

Seek and use intelligence

Replicate and replay critical tactical decision points

Goals

Reinforce classroom instruction

Provide individual and collective training

Simulate range of operations (e.g. major regional conflicts, peacekeeping/enforcement)

Provide medical battle staff training focusing on command and control of organic/attached units, to include medical planning, policies, operations, and coordination of patient evacuation.

Advantages

Low-cost, efficient training tool

Designed to satisfy diverse training needs

Responsive to user requirements

Adaptable to multinational / contingency force applications
