You heard right! Schools can earn $3 per phone collected - up to $21,000 per calendar year! And, that's not all - schools participating in Race to Recycle receive additional funds as consumers from across the country recycle phones on their own time. Schools are paid in cash and can choose how to best allocate the funds - whether for text books, desks or gym equipment - it's up to the school to decide.

Not only is Race to Recycle an easy, simple fund-raising program that helps schools raise money for scholastic and extracurricular activities, but it's also an excellent educational opportunity for kids. This hands-on recycling activity subtly teaches students about the environment while they raise cash.

Anyone can do it! Motorola makes it easy to lend a hand - even if you're not part of a school organization. Pre-paid postage packets are included with many of Motorola's new mobile phone models, making it easy to place the old mobile in the envelope and drop the package in the mail for delivery to a recycling center.
