What are Sponsor Results?

Sponsor Results are paid listings provided by Yahoo! Sponsored Search that appear on Yahoo! Search results pages and within selected Directory categories. This program uses a performance-based model in which businesses bid for enhanced placement in search results on terms that are relevant to their business, and pay on a per-click basis. You'll see Sponsor Results only when they're relevant to the specific search terms you used. For example, if you search for "cellular phones," you'll see Sponsor Results for web sites that provide information about or sell cellular phones. The Yahoo! Search results page and selected Directory categories separate Sponsor Results from all the other results on the page so you can tell them apart.
