NR presenter Lizo Mzimba
Since joining NR Lizo has reported on a wide variety of stories including the September 11 terror attacks in New York, Harry Potter book launches and the 2003 Rugby World Cup in Australia.

That would have to be September 11th in New York. It was a very upsetting and difficult story to do

What makes a good NR story

It has to be two things - something newsworthy as well as being interesting and relevant to young people

Advice to those children wanting to get into journalism

Write as much as you can, whether it's for your school newspaper or local rag. And apply for work experience wherever you can, it helps you get a foot in the door, as well as finding out what areas of journalism you think you're best suited to
