Thousands hit by China flooding

Flooding in China's Fujian province
Thousands of people have been forced out of their homes by flooding in China after two weeks of heavy downpours.

Nearly 100 people have died because of the flooding since the end of May, and several more are missing.

The Chinese government is now putting £2.7m of aid into helping the people affected by the floods, mainly in the south of the country.

The June to August rainy season often causes floods, but some areas have not been so badly affected for 30 years.
