Breaking News: Abu Musab al-Zarqawi Has Been Killed in Air Raid

Reported by Marie Therese - Thu 03:29 AM

Andrew Stack of FOX News has just reported that the Prime Minister of Iraq has confirmed that Al Qaeda's main man in Iraq was killed in an air attack last night. Stack and FOX correspondent Donna Fiducia speculate that this will result in a significant reduction in attacks on American and Iraqi forces. Al-Zarqawii was killed in a town north of Baquba in an American raid.

Hypocrite O'Reilly Lies Again

Reported by Marie Therese - Thu 03:10 AM

Last night during his nightly Talking Points Memo, host Bill O'Reilly was clearly trying to differentiate himself from Ann Coulter's manic commentary about the 9-11 widows. Consequently, he employed his favorite self-defense tactic and lied, telling his audience that he did not personally attack Cindy Sheehan, because to do so would have been "unproductive". (OK. OK. I know you're all on the floor laughing, but the poor man was serious!)

Did Ann Coulter Admit To Commiting Voter And Tax Fraud On Hannity & Colmes?

Reported by Ellen - Thu 02:46 AM

Tuesday night (6/6/06), Ann Coulter gave an astonishing defense for the allegations that she committed voter fraud by registering at a false address in Palm Beach County, Florida: That she really lives in New York.

A Breath Of Fresh Air On Hannity & Colmes

Reported by Ellen - Thu 01:33 AM

NSA spying and Haditha seem to be passé on H&C;, though there’s still plenty of time to rehash the Duke rape case and Cynthia McKinney’s “scandal,” but last night (6/7/06), at the end of the show, there was a report about an army lieutenant who is refusing to deploy to Iraq.

Ann Coulter: "Moron" "Ugly" "Ignorant rant"- and that's from a fan

Reported by Chrish - Thu 01:33 AM

Mike Straka's "Grrr!" column at FOXNews.com is usually devoted to targets more in keeping with the FOX frame of mind (though he did recently write a grudging defense of Natalie Maines and the Dixie Chicks), so it was a surprise to read his no-holds barred scathing put-down of Ann Coulter's latest hate-filled tome Ann Coulter's gone to far. And soon she may be going to jail. Too bad, so sad.

Fraudulent Ann Coulter The Latest Recipient of Republican Rehab On FOX News

Reported by Ellen - Thu 01:03 AM

As if two segments to promote her new book Tuesday night (6/6/06) weren’t enough, Hannity & Colmes gave 9/11 widow-basher and suspected felon Ann Coulter another eight minutes of publicity as their top story last night (6/7/06). But last night, the tough questions from Alan Colmes were eliminated as Coulter appeared with Sean Hannity, only, before a large, sympathetic crowd at a book store. The whole thing smacked of a PR stunt.

Two Hours After Tom DeLay Says "Ignore the Media," He Appears on Fox News

Reported by Melanie - Wed 09:56 PM

On Wednesday (June 7, 2006), Tom DeLay implored his (soon not-to-be) colleagues in the House of Representatives to "ignore the media," yet he appeared on Fox News two hours later.

Comment: FOX NEWS ALERT! An inadvertent truth: Tom DeLay confirms that Fox News fails "the media" test.

Neil Cavuto Lied (Again) About Why the Dow Fell Today

Reported by Melanie - Wed 07:35 PM

Neil Cavuto opened his show today (June 7, 2006) with a shot of the "big board" and "news" that the Dow was down and "earlier gains" were erased by the anthrax scare at the British parliament.

Comment: I searched high and low through the business news sites and couldn't find any reference whatsoever to the Dow falling due to that scare. It fell due to inflation fears and concern that the economy is slowing. Fear (closely followed by hate), is the #1 topic on the Bush News channel and the #1 priority of the "business news" department (which Cavuto heads) is hiding how The Decider has screwed up the economy. Cavuto's opening must have been a no-brainer for the foxes guarding The Decider's hen house.

Fox - Desertion Rate For Iraq Lowest Of Any War & War Protesting Officer Could Be Used As Pawn Of The Left Wing

Reported by Donna - Wed 05:40 PM

Today on Studio B with Shepard Smith he did a segment on Lt. Ehren Watada, who may be the first officer to refuse to go to war in Iraq. Though Studio B kept posting a banner that said U.S. Army Officer Refuses To Go Back To Iraq, they made it clear in their story that the officer had never been to Iraq before.

In addition to having an unnamed National Guard Lieutenant saying that Watada is going to be used as a pawn by the far left, Fox reporter, Dan Springer, stated that the desertion rate of 8,000 for the war in Iraq was the lowest rate ever in any war. Upon checking out statistics for the war in Vietnam I found that between 1 and 1.6 million soldiers served in Vietnam and around 5,000 had been deserters. Source. Which states: Only about 5,000 men assigned to Vietnam deserted and just 249 of those deserted while in Vietnam. I do not know what source Fox News was using.

Haven't We All Had Enough of Ann Coulter?

Reported by Marie Therese - Wed 02:06 PM

Last night on their show Sean Hannity and Alan Colmes gave the Mistress of Mean, Ann Coulter, not one but two segments to discuss her new book, Godless: The Church of Liberalism. Earlier in the day as I was driving and listening to Ed Schultz on Air America, he explained to his listeners that even though he'd been offered a chance to interview Coulter, he'd turned it down. Why? Because, basically, she's got nothing new to say. After last night, I agree with him.

Fox & Bolten Say UN Under Secretary Insults American People But He's Really Insulting Rush Limbaugh & Fox

Reported by Donna - Wed 01:46 PM

Today on Fox News Live with Bill Hemmer a segment was done with correspondant Eric Shawn regarding remarks that UN Under Secretary General, Mark Mallock Brown had made.

From what Fox reported in this segment you would have thought that the American people were largely insulted, I heard two sources that were insulted, Rush Limbaugh and Fox News.

Fox Continues to Push Democratic Scandals While Ignoring Republican Scandals

Reported by Janie - Wed 10:39 AM

Last night (6/6) on Special Report with Brit Hume, the top story during the "Two Minutes of Hate" (AKA "Grapevine") segment was an additional hit piece on Rep. Patrick Kennedy, another in a long line of segments highlighting Kennedy, Cynthia McKinney, William Jefferson, and Harry Reid, all of whom are Democrats.

Fear...afraid...terror...Must be an election year.

Reported by Chrish - Tue 10:00 PM

On The Big Story today 6/6/06, John Gibson began a segment saying "published reports indicate some folks in the UK are actually afraid now to fly the Union Jack. Several British businesses are taking down their flags after a series of threats from an Islamic extremist group."

He asked his guest, Heritage Foundation Fellow Nile Gardner, "Apparently businesses like hotel chains and restaurant chains are taking the flag down because it offends Muslims. How can this be?" Gardner put the non-story in perspectiuve

Bill O'Reilly On Location In Guantanamo

Reported by Deborah - Tue 09:45 PM

O'Reilly announced his plans to travel to Gitmo this week during a segment tonight about the new Army Field Manual on interrogation which omits part of Article 3 of the Geneva Conventions forbidding "humiliating and degrading treatment". O'Reilly told Lt Bill Cowan and Sgt. Major Eric Haney that he planned to interview the Guantanamo interrogators.

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. Didn't Stand a Chance Today on Your World w/Neil Cavuto

Reported by Melanie - Tue 09:02 PM

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. was a guest today (June 6, 2006) on Your World w/Cavuto. Kennedy was on to talk about his excellent June 1, 2006 RollingStone.com expose that asks, "Was the 2004 Election Stolen?".

Yes, "fair and balanced" Fox News hosted Kennedy as a guest but prior to his appearance Fox proved - once again - what crap its "fair and balanced" slogan is when it promoted his appearance with words like "agenda," "crackpot theory," and "just poppycock."

FOX Dredges Up "McKinney Probe"!

Reported by Marie Therese - Tue 07:20 PM

Yesterday morning the FOX and Friends hosts did two separate reports on one of their favorite targets, Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney, Democrat of Georgia. They noted that the case has gone nowhere in three months which, to them, seemed unfair to the Capitol Police officer involved. "Now, to many, this is a simple case of simple assault on a police officer," intoned Steve Doocy. "Normally, a person who is not a member of Congress would have been arrested on the site and would have had hell to pay." Co-hosts E. D. Hill and Tiki Barber laughed at this. Doocy continued, "Well, what's goin' on that it's ninety days and it appears to many, Tiki and E. D., as if somebody is draggin' their feet?"

A Child Transcends Politics

Reported by Marie Therese - Tue 01:44 PM

No matter what one thinks of a person's politics, it is important to remember the humanity that binds us all. Last night Greta van Susteren aired a segment about FOX News correspondent Catherine Herridge, whose baby son Peter suffers from a life-threatening liver condition. In a last-ditch effort to save him, Herridge is scheduled to go into surgery today to donate a portion of her own liver to her son. We want to wish Ms. Herridge, her son and her family all the best. We hope that the surgery is a complete success and that both mother and son thrive for many years to come. (UPDATE : Brit Hume just announced that surgery has been completed and both mother and son are doing well.)

Special Report: All Gay Marriage, All the Time

Reported by Janie - Tue 09:39 AM

Last night's (6/5) Special Report with Brit Hume covered a handful of topics, but focused on one general theme throughout: the President's push to pass the Constitutional amendment banning gay marriage throughout the United States. The show was anything but fair and balanced, and allowed Fox to show their true, bigoted, colors.
