A headline on a Thursday business section story incorrectly characterized the impact of the state attorney general's delaying a contract review of LIPA's contract with KeySpan. The delay referred to the timing of the contract's approval, not KeySpan's proposed acquisition by National Grid.

Councilmen James Hennessy, a Republican, and registered Democrat Thomas Sofield Jr. are members of the Republican-led minority in the Long Beach City Council. Also, John Laffey was named city manager in January by the three-member Democratic majority of the five-member council. The party affiliations were incorrect in a story yesterday.

Federal attorney Robert Henoch, who is prosecuting the "Mafia Cops" case, is the father of a boy and a girl. A Newsday story yesterday profiling the attorneys in the case incorrectly stated the gender of one of his children.

Doreen Banks was appointed Nassau County parks commissioner in 2002 and in 2004 changed responsibilities to oversee the Nassau Conservancy, but retained her title. Also, in 2004, Friends For Long Island's Heritage filed for dissolution. The information was incorrect in a story and graphic on Friday about the new county parks commissioner.
