Royal Navy and Royal Marines Martial Arts Association

The purpose of the RN RM MAA is to promote the practice of martial arts in the Royal Navy and Royal Marines, whilst giving martial artists within the service the chance to represent their association and service in both civilian and military competition. The Association also enables access to training seminars and tours.

The Association caters for all standards and styles of martial arts, with the exception of judo which has its own association. Although in competition, the focus is on karate and tae-kwon-do rules, other styles are given the opportunity and training given to adapt to which ever set of rules suits them best. There are also senior categories for dan grades (black belts) and junior categories for kyu cup grades (colour belts).
