The purpose of the Royal Navy Judo Association is to promote the practice of Judo within the Royal Navy and Royal Marines. Players have the chance to represent the association and the service in both military and civilian competitions. RN and RM judokas have represented Great Britain as part of a British Forces Teams fighting in USA, Canada, Australia and Austria in the last 12 months.

The Association caters for all standards from novice to black belts and enables players to train and compete under the guidance of qualified British Judo Association coaches. The RN currently has 4 registered BJA clubs at various shore establishments around the country and once a month regular squad training weekends are held.
