The Future

Training of RN aircrew is constantly evolving and the future aircraft types require subtly differing training than we currently provide. The three services are seeking to address this through the United Kingdom Military Flying Training (UKMFTS UK Military Flying Training System) project which seeks to cover the gap from our largely analogue training fleet and that of a modern digital and mainly glass cockpit frontline.

Whilst looking forward to new equipment and platforms we must always remember where we have come from and remember that RN Aircrew need to be able to operate in the maritime environment.
