SA-MP Development Media Update 17:37 PST | Jordan | Print News | Mail News The SA-MP developers have put up several new screenshots and one video to showcase the latest stages of testing. For those that don't know, SA-MP is a multi-player mod for the PC version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. It is a completely separate project from Multi Theft Auto and has been in development for many, many months. A release date has not yet been announced, but you can be sure that when SA-MP is near arrival, Planet Grand Theft Auto will do its best to provide extensive and hopefully exclusive coverage.
The ESRB, through its ratings system, requires game publishers to provide consumers with information relating to graphic violence, profanity or sexually explicit material contained in software titles. Consumer advocacy groups have opposed sales of interactive entertainment software containing graphic violence or sexually explicit material by pressing for legislation in these areas and by engaging in public demonstrations and media campaigns, and various governmental bodies have proposed regulation aimed at our industry to prohibit the sale of software containing such material to minors.
Additionally, retailers may decline to sell interactive entertainment software containing graphic violence or sexually explicit material that they deem inappropriate for their businesses. Many of our Rockstar titles have received an M rating. If retailers decline to sell our M rated products or if our M rated products are re-rated AO, we might be required to significantly change or discontinue particular titles, which in the case of our best selling Grand Theft Auto titles could seriously hurt our business.
Read this again: "we might be required to significantly change or discontinue particular titles." Then, the statement specifically names the game series "Grand Theft Auto." Is Grand Theft Auto being discontinued?

What do you see taking place in February for the MTA team?
"We expect to be working hard on deathmatch during February. It's hard to tell how long this will take, but now that we have a solid base that we built for race, we don't expect [the wait] to be that long. Just over the last couple of days, we've implemented code for on-foot movement, weapon firing and maps (just like race has). We've still got to work on other areas such as vehicles, pickups etc, though we don't foresee any real issues with these."
Grand Theft Auto video games have been selected by the Design Museum and BBC Two's The Culture Show to appear in a shortlist of 25 items for the Great British Design Quest, a nationwide vote to find the public's favourite example of design in Britain since 1900.

"It has come to our attention that there is an error in the server that prevents it from loading more than 256 maps. Maps are loaded in alphabetical order. We recommend that all server admins should not download every single map. For now, just make a selection of the maps you want on your server. We will remove this error in our next server release."

The Next GTA Game 10:54 PST | Jordan | Print News | Mail News In the new editorial entitled The Next Iteration, I lay down a whole lot of speculation and facts about the next Grand Theft Auto console game. Here are separate snippets from the article:
Will Rockstar continue the trend of creating much better versions of the older top-down GTA games? If so, is London truly the next step for Rockstar and the next city for GTA? Some would argue that Rockstar has done so well poking fun at American culture with the PS2 titles, that, to shy away from that specific culture's humor would be a bad thing.
Now then, let's put London aside but keep the hypothetical mindset. Let's say that London is not the choice. New York City is always a great place to fall back on if you don't have any exceptional ideas. But, should it be Liberty City and not the real NYC? Will Rockstar stick with the whole fiction thing? You're probably thinking "duh, of course they'll keep the fiction thing going." However, you have to remember that Rockstar is the video game king of surprises. I don't have to list their past surprises for you to agree with me.
Where will the next game take place? I don't know. However, I do know that when the first announcement of the game comes out, everyone will be sitting back in their chairs thinking "wow, I never thought of that." Rockstar is good at doing that to its fans.

Then, all I have to do is look at the files that have been submitted and one click later your content is on the website.
The following types of content can be submitted: Mods, Apps, Artwork, Videos, Tools, Fan Screenshots, Guides, Wallpapers and if your file doesn't fit in those categories, then choose Other.
I currently don't have support for GTA, GTA: London 1969 and GTA2 mods, but if there is enough demand for it, I will create the appropriate sections.
