Fargo is one of the founding fathers of GameSpy, starting in 1996 when he helped company founder Mark "The Freshmaker" Surfas launch PlanetQuake. He left a job in the advertising industry because he couldn't stand saying good things about games he didn't like, and he's been a full-time writer and creative lead in the gaming industry ever since. Fueling the big move was a passion for online gaming and everything that the Internet brings to games: player interaction, multiplayer gaming, game modifications, tournaments, downloads... he gets all breathy whenever he talks about it, which, frankly, is disturbing. Fargo writes the longest-running column on GameSpy, a weekly humor column called PlanetFargo. He also publishes a daily World of Warcraft comic: Flintlocke's Guide to Azeroth.

Warrior is the slave driver behind the schedule, big features and event coverage on GameSpy. He is lord overseer of the PC and Console editors and works hard to not only ensure editorial quality, but editorial integrity. He was a writer and editor in the newspaper business for 17 years in his former life.
Sal "Sluggo" Accardo

Title: Senior PC Editor
Years in the Industry: 5
Hails From: Brooklyn, NYC
Favorite Platform: PC
Favorite Genres: Action, Sports

Originally from Brooklyn, NYC, Sluggo packed his bags in 1999 and drove cross-country to the sunny shores of southern California, where he's been involved with GameSpy.com since its launch in October 1999. Originally starting out covering mods for Quake 2 and Half-Life, Sluggo is GameSpy's resident "Man of Action," and heads up all of the site's PC game coverage. In 2002, he had the first full preview of DOOM3, and this year has written stories on Half-Life 2, Halo 2, as well as the world exclusive preview of Halo PC. Outside of videogames, Sluggo spent several years as a professional musician, and can often be found listening to something on his sweet Nomad Jukebox 3.
Raymond "Psylancer" Padilla

Title: Senior Console Editor (though he prefers Senor Editor)
Years in the Industry: More than he cares to admit.
Favorite Platform: GBA, PS2
Favorite Genres: RPGs, wrestling/MMA, action-sports
Favorite Bands: The Fairways, Majestic, Charming

THACO: 6

Like Lex Luger, Raymond is the total package ... except that he's the total package of geekdom. Along with games, he loves comic books, WWE, Pokemon, indie pop, and Diet Vanilla Coke. His love of shoes (currently 19 pairs) is matched only by his love of hoodies (currently 14) and wristbands (currently 18). He's written for dozens of mainstream and enthusiast publications -- including two Flemish articles in PC Magazine Belgium. Raymond adores readers that send him Kiehl's and/or Fekkai products.
Benjamin Turner

Title: PS2 Editor
Years in the Industry: 4
Favorite Platform: PS2, most 8 to 32-bit consoles
Favorite Genres: Platform, Fighters, Shmups, RPGs, Misc.
Life Irrevocably Changed By: Getting a NES.
Receding Hairline: No. Well, maybe. A bit.

Video games are Ben's passion, which makes him a big nerd. He's cool with that, though. His tastes are decidedly old-school, focusing on classic genres like platformers, 2D shooters, fighters and run'n'gun action games. He also has a soft spot for first-person PC games and archaic dungeon crawlers -- yes, this smooth operator works both sides of the street. Yow!
Bryn "hardcore_pawn" Williams

Title: GameCube / Game Boy Advance Editor
Years in the Industry: More than 5 less than 6
Favorite Platform: GameCube / Game Boy Advance
Favorite Genres: Fighters, Racers, 3D Action, Adventure.
Best Cat Owned: Jack the one-eyed cat
Best Thing Owned: Sony 34XBR800 HDTV
Links: The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Walker ; Wario Ware, Inc.: Mega Microgame$; Game Boy Advance SP; Hunter: The Reckoning - Redeemer; Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell; Game Boy Player (Import).

Bryn hails from Manchester, England -- and he's proud of it. So proud, in fact, that he lives in sunny California with his wife and two cats -- and Ben (there's nothing weird going on, I can assure you.) He lives for Nintendo-related gaming but is also not adverse to kicking back with Xbox or PlayStation 2 on occasion. Having worked on various print and online publications in the past, GameSpy and its lovely green hue now rates no.1 in his book.
Christian "ferricide" Nutt

Name: Christian "ferricide" Nutt
Title: Xbox Editor
Years in the Industry: Four and change
Favorite Platform: PS(2), Dreamcast was nice
Favorite Genres: RPG, Fighting
Personality and Taste Summed Up by: This Image
GBA SP: Cobalt
Links: Final Fantasy X-2; .hack//Infection; Xenosaga; Panzer Dragoon Orta; Phantasy Star Collection; Dark Cloud 2; Sonic Advance 2; Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow

Christian is never moving back to New Jersey. California has much nicer, more consistent weather, and is closer to Japan, where they make all of his favorite games. He's always loved RPGs since he first set eyes on Phantasy Star for the Sega Master System. They continue to be his passion. He can't help tracking down weird and beautiful games by obscure Japanese developers, and probably owns more Saturn games than most people will ever own for PlayStation 2. Still, he tries to keep his finger on the pulse of today -- and with games like Final Fantasy X and Soul Calibur II in hand and a new Castlevania around the bend it's not too hard.
Allen "Delsyn" Rausch

Title: Associate PC Editor
Years in the Industry: 8
Favorite Platform: PC, PS2, Atari 2600
Favorite Genres: Strategy, RPGs, Anything "thinky"
Favorite Sweet Things: Atomic Fireballs, Coca-Cola, Catherine Bell
Most precious possession: His daughter, Ilyana
Links: Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb ; Galactic Civilizations; Freelancer; Praetorians; Silent Hill 2; Survivor Ultimate; The Matrix Online; EVE Online: The Second Genesis; Heroes of Might & Magic IV: Winds of War.

Allen originally comes from Long Island, New York, the birthplace of suburban sprawl and home of really big Bon Jovi style hair. He's been knocking about the gaming industry in various capacities for many years including stints as marketing manager for two major gaming publishers. In the past, he's contributed reviews, articles and features to major gaming publications and Web sites and his first fiction novella "Dia de Los Muertos" was recently published by White Wolf. He loves his job here at GameSpy, although if he has to play one more game of Disney's Extreme Skate Adventure, he won't be held responsible for his actions.
Christopher "shaithis" Buecheler

Title: Senior Web Developer
Years in the Industry: 4
Favorite Platform: PC. Also a love/hate thing w/ my GCN.
Favorite Genres: First-Person Thinkers and shooters, RPGs, Emergent-gameplay action titles.
Hobbies: Screaming profanities, making fun of Fargo, waving hands angrily in the air, ranting about the gaming industry.
Wavebirds destroyed while playing Zelda: Two
Links: The Resident Cynic, The GameSpy Grudge, Many Top 10's, Lots of Editorials, a couple Hall of Fame inductions, a Deus Ex PS2 Review, and my 94 point score for Nocturne.

When he co-created GameSpy.com with Fargo in 1999, Chris had little idea just how large the site would get. This growth, and subsequent hiring of new employees, was a good thing, as it allowed Chris more than four hours of sleep per night. This didn't make him any less cynical, though... it simply allowed him more energy to use on ranting. When not espousing his opinions on GameSpy's pages, he can be found shouting in editorial meetings, or muttering to himself while working on the site's HTML code.

This gangly, bird-like creature has been associated with GameSpy on and off for over six years, starting off as the first Site Director of PlanetQuake before moving on to set up sites like ClassicGaming, PlanetHalfLife, and the now deceased PlanetDreamcast and PlanetPS2. Currently, he does various GameSpy Network things, runs PlanetHalfLife, heads up PlanetUnreal, and contributes to GameSpy.com on a scattershot basis.
