Guided Tours
Museum-trained volunteers offer daily guided tours to introduce the Metropolitan and its collection. The "Museum Highlights" tour is available in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish. All guided tours begin in the Great Hall and are free with Museum admission. Audio Guide
The Audio Guide provides visitors with interpretive audio programming about hundreds of artworks in the Museum's permanent collection and special exhibitions—on a single listening device and for a single daily fee. Adult Classes
New at the Met, The Art of Learning: Classes for Adults, are concentrated, multisession, hands-on workshops bringing together knowledgeable instructors, small groups of enthusiastic adult students, and masterpieces on display in the Museum. Preregistration for these classes is required. Tickets are sold for the entire series only; single sessions are not available.
The Museum introduces The Observant Eye, a series of interactive seminars for recent college graduates and young professionals living in New York City who wish to further their knowledge and understanding of the visual arts. The program is free with Museum admission, but registration is required.
