Amend.org's
programs focus on the neglected epidemic of childhood
injury in developing countries, while our advocacy
campaigns address important issues affecting those
countries. All of Amend.org's work is evidence-driven,
measurable and sustainable, and we keep nonprogram
costs to a minimum.
In
September 2005, Amend.org launched its flagship reflector
and traffic safety program in Kampala, Uganda. Through
education and the distribution of inexpensive reflectors,
Amend.org aims to reduce the number of Uganda’’s
children who are hit by vehicles while walking by
the side of the road—the number one cause of

organization with a permanent staff of two and minimal

of fundraising events, from cocktail parties at private
residences, to special film screenings, to intimate
