He ended the career of a CIA agent devoted to working on non-proliferation during a war on terror, he caused the indictment of one high-level Bush Administration official, and more, related indictments may be coming. Yet Robert Novak told Sean Hannity tonight that his only regret about writing the column was the problems Novak suffered as a result. That was just moments after he insisted he would not reveal the name of his source, then let slip that it was a man. What a guy!

Grapevine Whine - George Galloway Gets Fox's Goat Again

Last Friday night (1/6) on Special Report Jim Angle substituted for anchor Brit Hume & used one of the "pickings" on the Grapevine segment to mock a UK politician who has the ability to make Fox staffers foam at the mouth. Yes, it's George Galloway (again), & this time it was about him being a contestant on a UK-based TV "reality" show. One might wonder why Special Report selected this item for its political Grapevine, rather than the far more politically significant story about the alcohol problem plaguing Charles Kennedy, leader of the Liberal Democrats (which has subsequently resulted in his resignation). I guess that might remind viewers that there are "some" in our current administration rumored to have similar problems.

Today 1/08/06 on Fox News Sunday Brit Hume subbed for host Chris Wallace. It is discombobulating to see Hume swing back and forth between the supposedlyimpartial host's seat and the advocacy chair of a panelist. In today's case, with Bill Kristol and Charles Krauthammer on the panel the effect was 3-2 Republican, with Mara Liasson and Juan Williams sitting in for Democrats.

Tom DeLay granted his first interview since stepping down to FOX News, speaking to Brian Wilson at 1PM today. DeLay started the interview with his campaign grin but his facial expression changed considerably when Jack Abramoff was mentioned. Nothing new was offered to the public during this interview. In July, 2005, Rupert Murdoch, the owner of Fox News and its parent company, News Corp., bought MySpace.com. An article in today's (January 8, 2005) London Independent, Get out of MySpace, bloggers rage at Murdoch, says that, "Angry members of MySpace, the personal file-sharing website for young adults, are accusing Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation of censoring their postings and blocking their access to rival sites."

Thursday night (1/5) on the Grapevine segment of Special Report, Brit Hume led off with a tidbit about the Reverend Marion "Pat" Robertson's ridiculous & outrageous comments concerning Israel's Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon. It was actually pretty amusing watching Hume try to put some distance between GOPs & Robertson, one of the primary figures in the American Taliban. But FNC was not content with that. When Jim Angle substituted for Hume on Friday night (1/6), he also led off the Grapevine segment with another tidbit about the same story, this time noting that the White House issued a "sharp rebuke" to Robertson.

At 4:11 p.m. ET (11 minutes into Fox's "premiere business news" program), while video of Michael Moore played on screen, substitute host Stuart Varney signed off on a commercial break with a promo for an upcoming segment: "Now that Jon Stewart has been picked to host the Oscars, should you brace yourself for the biggest Bush-bashing event you've ever seen?"

Tonight’s Hannity & Colmes discussion about the president of Iran’s comment that he hoped Prime Minister Sharon would die seemed little more than an excuse to drum up support for another war in the Middle East. Chickenhawk Sean Hannity made it clear he thinks Israel should attack Iran and not waste any time about it. Even Alan Colmes seemed uncharacteristically bellicose about Iran. Meanwhile, both hosts completely overlooked the similar remarkss of evangelist Pat Robertson who suggested that Sharon’s illness was divine retribution.

"The Book Of Daniel" Should Not Be Casualty Of Culture Wars

" The Book Of Daniel", new NBC drama, premiered tonight after much criticism from FOX News and Christian Advocacy groups who have already pressured some affiliates to reject the show before the premiere. FOX has painted a very controversial picture of the show on it's website and tonight before the premiere, Big Story and The Factor did segments about it. John Kasich, in for O'Reilly, was quite anxious to trash it tonight calling it "over the top and way out of bounds."

After watching the new series, I couldn't disagree more. In fact, I think "The Book Of Daniel" is pro family and pro Christian.
