THE BRITNEY SPEARS CAMP FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS
Designed to benefit deserving youth, the annual Camp for the Performing Arts includes 140 boys and girls from New England, New York, Washington, DC, and New Orleans, ages 11 – 15, who participate in performing arts workshops and master classes. As the Camp is fully funded by The Britney Spears Foundation, there is no charge to participants.
The Camp for the Performing Arts experience provides campers the opportunity to explore and develop their talents. The Camp offers classes in improvisational acting, blues performance, dance, musical theater, singing, set design, juggling, drumming, and music video production. In addition, campers experience all that the camp has to offer, from the natural beauty of its location to great camp activities such as swimming, biking, and archery.
The Camp for the Performing Arts is much more than just a camp. Kids learn about life here in an empowering, enchanting, and exciting environment. Through the performance process, kids learn that it is ok to work hard and take healthy risks. New skills develop while our young performers increase self-esteem and make new friendships that will last a lifetime. Through our work together, campers build a level of cooperation and respect that develops a real community atmosphere. We are more than a community - we are a family.
