Rudolph guilty of Atlanta, Birmingham blasts

Eric Robert Rudolph received a life sentence for the bombing of a Birmingham, Alabama, women's clinic, killing an off-duty police officer. He has also plead guilty to three bombings in Atlanta, Georgia -- including the fatal 1996 Olympics attack. In exchange for the pleas, which came after Rudolph disclosed where he stashed explosives, federal prosecutors agreed to spare him the death penalty. Once called "the most notorious American fugitive on the FBI's 'Most Wanted' list," Rudolph eluded authorities for more than five years before a rookie police officer captured him in rural North Carolina.
