DORSET TOWN PROFILES
DORSET COUNTRY TOWNS RENAISSANCE SRB6, APRIL 2002
A town profile has been created for each of the thirteen towns that are members of the Dorset Country Towns Partnership. It is intended that the profiles will improve the baseline data relating to the Country Towns, by the identification and description of the social, economic and environmental position of the Country Towns, in order to quantify the perceived situation within the towns. These profiles might then support bids for funding and other action by statutory agencies, and can act as a benchmark for each of the towns.

This profile fulfils the requirements of the "Snapshot" section of the Countryside Agency's suggested Town Health Check, and provides much of the statistical evidence required within the main Health Check itself. The town profile can therefore be used by local groups to assist in the completion of a Town Health Check. Click on the document covers below to go on to view the reports.
