Current ConditionsONGOING FIRES AND EMERGENCIESFiresSome fires are still active on the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest and adjacent lands (See update with road and trail advisories) Road and Trail closures in effectTwo Color Trail #1932 and its segments to include Bennett Peak Trail are closed due to public safety hazards.
Trail closures associated with the Granite Complex in IdahoIdaho side : Beginning today, due to the potential for high fire activity, the following area has been closed to public entry in the Seven Devils area of the Hells Canyon National Recreation Area: The area west of a line from Horse Heaven going north to Windy Saddle along the hydrologic divide in the Seven Devils area. The closure continues from Windy Saddle north to Heavens Gate Lookout along the ridge, then along Boise Trail 101 north to the Low Saddle area and along the wilderness boundary west to the Snake River . The Boise Trail #101 south to Horse Heaven remains open. Trail and area closures associated with the Fly FireRoad Closure Public Use RestrictionsPublic Use Restrictions on the use of campfires, smoking out-of-doors, motorized travel, and use of combustion engines, such as chainsaws and generators.
