What is GameSpot Complete?
As the name implies, GameSpot Complete gives you everything. As GameSpot's no-compromise, no-holds-barred gaming service, GameSpot Complete gives you complete and easy access to absolutely everything on GameSpot.

Wow. What does this kind of access cost?
Not much. For just $6.95, you can sign up for a monthly account to see if GameSpot Complete is right for you. Or you can take the plunge and get a full year of GameSpot Complete for a mere $29.95. These prices are about the same as printed gaming magazine prices.

Sounds great. How do I sign up for GameSpot Complete?
That's easy! Just create your very own account.

What about new features?
We add new features all the time. As a GameSpot Complete member, you get access the moment a new feature becomes available.

What is GameSpot Ice?
GameSpot Ice is a cool, light-background version of GameSpot. Practically the entire GameSpot site has been rebuilt on an icy-cool background to ease those bloodshot eyes. Best of all, you can instantly turn it on or off with one easy click.

Who gets GameSpot Ice?
Only GameSpot Complete subscribers get access to GameSpot Ice.

Does all this GameSpot Complete business mean that GameSpot will no longer offer services to nonsubscribing readers?
Absolutely not. Even casual GameSpot readers get critical content for every one of the thousands of games covered on GameSpot, including news, recent reviews and previews, screenshots, hints, pricing info, and more.

How will I know what is free and what is not free?
To keep things clear, all locked GameSpot Complete content is tagged with a red padlock. Easy. And once you log in to GameSpot Complete, the red padlocks disappear.

I don't feel comfortable giving out my credit card info over the Web. Can I sign up by some other method?
Yes. You can also sign up for GameSpot Complete by fax. Download the GameSpot Complete fax form (save it to your computer), print it out, fill it in, and fax it to the number provided on the sign-up page.

For security reasons, the GameSpot Complete fax form is in Adobe Acrobat format (.pdf). Chances are your Web browser will display the fax document, and at least allow you to print it. If your Web browser does not support .pdf files, you should download a free copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader. Using this software will ensure that you can download and print the GameSpot Complete fax form.

Is my personal information secure?
Yes. Your security is our top priority. Our secure server will encrypt your information when you sign up, including your credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read as it travels over the Internet.

After I sign up, I get this e-mail saying I must confirm my registration. Do I really have to do this?
Yes. You must confirm your account registration in order to activate your account. To confirm your registration, simply click on the link in the registration confirmation e-mail.

What happens if I don't confirm my registration?
If you do not confirm your registration, your account's status will remain pending and your registration with GameSpot will not be activated.

I never got my registration confirmation e-mail (or I threw it out as junk mail). Now what?
Easy. Simply visit our login page. Enter your login info, then, on the subsequent page, confirm your personal information and click on the Update button. The system will then automatically send you another confirmation e-mail.

How do I log in to GameSpot Complete?

Note: Your Web browser must be set to accept cookies if you wish to access GameSpot Complete content (all browsers are set this way when first installed). Some users may be unable to access the GameSpot home page if their browser is not set to accept cookies.

When I try to go to the GameSpot home page (www.gamespot.com) all I see is an ad that keeps running in an endless loop. Why?
GameSpot requires a single cookie to be installed before the home page can be loaded. If your browser does not allow cookies to be installed, you may be unable to access the GameSpot home page.

If you are unwilling or unable to change your browser settings to let GameSpot install a cookie, you may still access other parts of GameSpot, including the All Games page and the All Updates page.

What if my browser blocks cookies?
If you set your browser to block third-party cookies, you should know that GameSpot requires that a single cookie be installed, and that the GameSpot home page may not load if your browser is blocking cookies.

These cookies record your login information and provide you with trouble-free access to GameSpot. If your browser is currently set to block incoming cookies, please add "www.gamespot.com" to the exception list.

No. Although GameSpot covers many aspects of "gaming," GameSpot in no way condones gambling, and it is not affiliated with online casinos or games of chance.

How can I write for GameSpot?
Simply go into any game review's At a Glance page and select Review It! However, only GameSpot Complete members can submit text reviews.

I'm a GameSpot Complete member, but I can't submit a Reader Review. What's going on?
First off, to submit a text review, you have to have a GameSpot Complete account and be logged in to GameSpot Complete. If you are a GameSpot Complete member and are logged in, and you still can't submit a text Reader Review, most likely it is because you previously entered a set of ratings for that product. You can submit only one set of ratings, one time, per game. After you submit your ratings for a given game, you are "locked out" of that game. This is the way Reader Reviews have always worked on GameSpot.

Users who encounter this "can't post" problem typically enter the ratings for a game (either logged in to GameSpot Complete or not, it doesn't matter) and then return at a later time and try to submit a text review.

Bottom line: When you enter a score, be prepared to enter your text review at the same time.

Why do Reader Reviews work like this?
In a word: consistency. The Reader Review system exactly mimics the review system used by GameSpot's own editors. Moreover, the system refuses to allow users who have previously submitted a score to later submit a text review to ensure that the reviews stay as fair and as balanced as possible.

Who do I contact for information about advertising on GameSpot?
Please contact our sales representatives. You'll find their e-mail addresses on our Advertise on GameSpot page.

Who can I contact about a broken link on GameSpot?

I can't view screenshots and graphics on GameSpot. Screens and graphics on every other Internet site I visit are OK. What's going on?
Chances are that ad blocking or firewall software on your computer is blocking them. A common culprit is Kazaa Lite, which has a large list of blocked sites, including Image.com.com. GameSpot screenshots and graphics are served from Image.com.com. For assistance in unblocking Image.com.com from your ad blocking or firewall software, please consult your software's manual or publisher.
