The MIT Museum galleries provide function space unlike any other in the Boston area.
During your event, your guests have access to the entire Museum. Galleries are located on a single floor and are laid out in a circle, making it easy for your guests to mingle while experiencing as much of the Museum as they choose.

Refreshments may be served within the following galleries:
- Robots and Beyond, including Kismet, the world’s first sociable robot
- Mind and Hand, an exhibit that illustrates the lore and legend of life at MIT
- The MIT Museum’s function room, which features distinctive, rotating exhibits from the Museum’s permanent collections.
Guests may also enjoy the Museum’s other exhibit spaces, which showcase:
- The time-stopping photos of legendary MIT professor, “Doc” Edgerton
- The witty and engaging kinetic sculptures of Arthur Ganson
- Amazing 3-D holographic images , and
- The interactive, computer-generated Metafield Maze.
