Legendary art director Henry Wolf, who worked with photographers Richard Avedon, Melvin Sokolosky and Art Kane before launching his own photography studio, died Feb. 14 at his home in New York City. He was 80.

Commercial photographer and video workshop pioneer Dean Collins passed away Feb. 2 at his home near San Diego after a two-year battle with cancer. He was 51.

Former stock photo agent and National Geographic photographer Craig Aurness died December 14 in a Panorama City, California hospital where he had spent the last two months undergoing treatment for lung and anemia complications, according to photographer Charles O'Rear. Aurness was 58.

Darrin Perry, the influential creative director who put his visual stamp on ESPN the Magazine and Wired, died unexpectedly on Thanksgiving Day, November 25. He was 39.

In Memoriam: Steve Steigman, 62
Steve Steigman, the commercial photographer whose business savvy laid the foundation for many of the standard practices in use today, died in his home in Quogue, Long Island Oct. 18 of an apparent suicide. He was 62.

George Silk, a staff photographer at Life magazine for nearly 30 years, died October 23 in Norwalk, Conn., of congestive heart failure. He was 87.

In Memoriam: Eddie Adams, 71
Eddie Adams, the Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer who helped turn public opinion against the Vietnam War with his image of a Vietcong prisoner being executed on a Saigon street in 1968, died at his home in Manhattan Sept. 19. The cause of death was amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. He was 71.
