Browser Plug-ins

Some content on our Green Lane site may require a browser plug-in. A plug-in is a program that works with your browser (Microsoft Explorer or Netscape) to let you use special file types such as certain audio and video formats. To be able to use these formats, you must either already have the plug-in, or you can download it for free by clicking on either of the links below.

• Adobe Acrobat (PDF): Adobe's Portable Document plug-in lets you see documents saved in this format. Acrobat documents allow a combination of graphics, text, and multimedia. Click here to download.

Converting PDF to HTML or ASCII formats:

The Adobe corporation has developed tools to help make PDF files accessible to the visually disabled. The tools convert Adobe PDF documents into HTML or ASCII text which can then be read by a number of common screen reading programs that synthesize text as audible speech.
