Pennsylvania's fishing and boating facilities are aging. Our fish hatcheries need upgrades to address concerns over water quality and water quantity and to
operate more efficiently and effectively. Several of our dams need attention, and access areas
require rehabilitation.
The Fish Fund is nearing the end of a revenue cycle as fishing license fees have remained unchanged since 1996 and trout/salmon stamp fees have not changed since 1991.
The Fish and Boat Commission is working with the Administration and General Assembly to obtain funding to deal with these concerns.
