How do I enable JavaScript?
Javascript is a programming language that allows us to provide increased interactivity and more features on our web pages. To enable its use by your browser follow the instructions below:
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x
1. From the Tools menu, select Internet Options
2. Go to the Security tab
3. Click on Internet
4. Click the Custom Level button
5. Go to scripting and enable "scripting of java applets"
Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.x
1. Click View (on the menu toward the top of your screen)
2. click Internet Options
3. click the Security tab
4. click Custom
5. click Settings
6. scroll down to locate Scripting
7. click Enable for Active Scripting
8. click OK, then click the Reload button
Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.x
1. Click View top left of your screen
2. then click Options
3. then click Security
4. ensure a checkmark appears in "Enable Java Programs"
5. the click OK, then click the Reload button
Netscape Navigator 4.x or greater
1. Click Edit top left of your screen
2. then click Preferences
3. then click Advanced
4. ensure there is a check mark in both "Enable Java" and "Enable JavaScript"
5. then click OK
Netscape Navigator 3.x
1. Click Edit top left of your screen
2. then click Options
3. then click Network Preferences
4. then click Languages
5. ensure there is a check mark in both "Enable Java" and "Enable JavaScript"
6. then click OK
If you are using a browser older than those listed above you may need to upgrade in order to use advanced features of bbc.co.uk such as Connector.
