Who is at Fault? Not Ailes
CNN's Howard Kurtz wrote about the democratic convention coverage in a Washington Post article here: Howard Kurtz. Read it and weep. It indicates, without evidence, that the anchors themselves had control of who and what was covered.
Ailes is taken off the hook with: "Critics will have a hard time blaming Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes for this approach. The former Republican strategist had little involvement in the convention coverage here and plans to be on vacation when the Republicans convene this month in New York."
Feel the Fear
At least half of Fox & Friends (Aug.2, 7:00 -8:00 a.m.) was devoted to the NYC terror threat.

Since the end of the convention, I have noted the cable media - FOX, CNN and MSNBC - berating themselves for their miserable coverage of the democratic convention - while praising C-SPAN. I saw it again for the 100th time this morning on Howard Kurtz, Reliable Sources (August 1, 11:55 a.m.).
