Half-Life 2 Weapons

We don't yet have too much information on Half-Life 2's weapons, and all we have, is more or less unconfirmed. Also the pictures we have aren't too reliable, because the weapon models may, and most likely will change before the final publishing. Anyway, HL2HC wanted to offer you all the latest information, and here's what we know.

Crowbar

Gordon Freeman's faithful crowbar will be with him in the sequel also. The crowbar seems to have got some scratches, dirt and rust, but that's just realism and nice to see those details on weapons in games also.

H&K USP Match

This pistol looks exactly like the pistol Lara Croft (Angelina Jolie) carries in the movie Tomb Raider and that pistol is H&K USP Match. After Tomb Raider and Half-Life 2, maybe this will be the new 'Desert Eagle' (as its reputation).

SPAS-12

This SPAS-12 shotgun has been in many screenshots and the most interesting thing is, that it looks like a bit rusty and dirty - first time ever we may see realistic, dirty and rusty weapons, not just polished evershine Colt M4's.

H&K MP5K

MP5 is the weapon that came popular and well-known, at least inside computer-gaming scene, because of original Half-Life. Half-Life made those three figures more than a weapon model, it became a notion. MP5K is the little brother for the legendary MP5 - so at least some kind of evolution has happened here too.

OICW (Objective Individual Combat Weapon) - M29

OICW is the current rifle being developed by the U.S. military as a replacement to the M-16. U.S. military has given the weapon designation M29. Top larger barrel is a 20 mm grenade launcher and the bottom smaller barrel is chambered for a 5.56 mm round.
