The South Texas Trail Riders will begin their annual ride from Corpus Christi to San Antonio at 7 a.m. Friday Riders will leave Labonte Park, 6667 U.S. Highway 77, and travel along Interstate 37. Information: 387-4518 or 853-1710.

Recital

Free immunizations and health screenings will be available. Participants may also receive a flu shot for $9 or cholesterol testing for $10. TRAIL RIDERS:The South Texas Trail Riders will begin the 43rd annual ride from Corpus Christi to San Antonio. Registration begins at 5 p.m. at Labonte Park, 6667 U.S. Highway 77. Fees: $50 adults 18 and older; $30 minors 6-17; free for children 5 and younger. Patrons may come to the park to visit with the trail riders, who will ride out of Corpus Christi at 7 a.m. Friday along Interstate 37. Information: (361) 387-4518 or (361) 853-1710.

ROMANTIC COMEDY: The Port Aransas Community Theatre presents Jack Neary's "Jerry Finnegan's Sister" at 8 p.m. at 212 Beach St. in Port Aransas. Tickets: $10. Information: (361) 749-4899.

SPOOKY DRAMA: The Harbor Playhouse, No. 1 Bayfront Park, presents Conor McPherson's "The Weir" at 8 p.m. The play focuses on men in an Irish pub who swap spooky stories to impress a young Dublin woman who has moved into a haunted house. But the tables turn when the young woman spins a tale of her own. Tickets: $8. Special discounts are available for seniors, military and students. Tickets and information: 888-7469.

AA JAMBOREE: The Coastal Bend Intergroup Association will have its annual Jamboree at Omni Bayfront Hotel, 900 N. Shoreline Blvd. Registration begins at 2 p.m. A fee of $15 includes all meetings with guest speakers. A seated speaker luncheon will be at noon with a cost of $15. QUILT SHOW: Piecemakers by the Bay Quilt Guild will have its fourth biennial Quilt Show, "A Tisket A Tasket," from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 301 State Highway 35 North, Rockport. Featured will be a judged show and three displays - Habitat for Humanity Quilt Blocks, Don Locke's "The Supper" and the traveling exhibit, "Keepsake Quilting Challenge Collection."
