Police Blotter: 12/17/01 Item of the day: 2900 Mary Street: Two 20-year-old women were accused of threatening a 19-year-old woman, saying, "Watch it with your car because we're going to bust your windows again." The 19-year-old said that one of the women is upset with her because she is a friend of the father of the older woman's child. She said the two women have been threatening and harassing her, and even distributed fliers in a large apartment complex advertising a sexual party at her home.

Police Blotter: 12/16/01 Item of the day: 3800 U.S. Highway 77: A police officer reported that a 22-year-old man said, "Oh no," in a disappointed tone, when the officer told the man he was under arrest. A store employee told the officer he saw the 22-year-old conceal two socket sets in his clothes and then saw the young man walk out of the store without paying. The socket sets were valued at $9.76.

Police blotter: 12/15/01 Southern area: A 31-year-old man reported that someone is using his full name as an Internet screen and placing pictures of him on gay chat sites. He said he spoke with the person using his name via the Internet and was told they were doing it because they could and then he was called by his nickname.

Police blotter: 12/14/01 5100 Up River Road: A 31-year-old woman told police the 27-year-old father of her 6-month-old child left the infant alone in their home while she was out running errands. She said her daughter has sleep apnea, which will sometimes cause the infant to stop breathing in her sleep.

Police Blotter: 12/13/01 Item of the day: East Shea Parkway/Bluefield Drive: A 35-year-old woman told police that while she and her 15-year-old daughter were at an intersection, a 53-year-old man walked up to them and pulled up his short shorts, exposing his genitals. She said he ran away when he saw her using her cell phone but she followed him so that police could find him. She said he had exposed himself before.

Police Blotter: 12/12/01 Item of the day: 2600 Hospital Boulevard: A cab driver told police he picked up a 20-year-old man from a hospital and drove the man to several banks. He said he took the man back to the hospital and the man went inside without paying after saying he didn't have any money. The cab fare was $30, according to the report.

Police Blotter: 12/11/01 Item of the day: 5900 Ayers Street: A 57-year-old man told police that a 4-foot long barbecue pit was stolen from his driveway. He said more than one person took the pit, which was valued at $350 because it weighs more than 200 pounds.

Police blotter: 12/10/01 4800 Crosstown Expressway Access Road: A credit union employee told police that someone stole two shelves that hold customer transaction forms. She said the concrete where the posts were embedded was broken and the posts, shelves and even the nuts and bolts that held the posts down, were gone.

Police blotter: 12/08/01 4500 Ayers Street: A 24-year-old woman said a 28-year-old man hit the top of her head twice with his fist. She said she was at a business when the man, who was formerly in a management position there, hit her on the head.
