Mitchel Athletic Complex

The New York Power plays its home games at:

Mitchel Athletic Complex
1 Charles Lindbergh Blvd.
Uniondale N.Y., 11553

Mitchel Athletic Complex, located in Uniondale, NY, is the home of many teams and host of many different events. The multi-purpose athletic facility is spread out over 67 acres, with the soccer stadium holding 10,000 spectators.

Mitchel Athletic Complex was the host site of the 1998 Goodwill Games for track & field and women's soccer. The track was the site of a new world and American record for the men's 4 x 400 relay. Jackie Joyner-Kersee ran her last heptathlon at the track, and she won the gold. More than 12,000 spectators (the event record) witnessed another gold medal win by the U.S. Women's Soccer Team.

The second largest crowd was in attendance the night Michael Johnson ran. Nassau Community College also plays at Mitchel Athletic Complex, winning National Junior College titles in men's and women's soccer and lacrosse. St. John's University softball also called Mitchel Athletic Complex home the past two seasons.

The NY Power will bring a new feel to the stadium with a new Jumbotron and sound system. The addition of the NY Power-Zone will bring interactive games to Mitchel Athletic Complex. The NY Power-Zone will be open two hours prior to each home game.

Among the many interactive games and sponsor kiosks, the NY Power is teaming up with various radio stations, Z100, WBLI, WPLJ & K-Joy, to provide great music, giveaways and more interactive games. The press box is also getting a facelift, making it state-of-the-art.
