A native of Wilton, Connecticut, Lilly is the all-time leader in international
appearances for the U.S. Women's National Team with over 200 caps, the first
player in soccer history, men or women, to reach that milestone....Third all-time in
goals scored with 81...Led National Team in 1999 with 20 goals....Lilly is a World Cup
Champion (1999, 1991), Goodwill Games Gold Medalist (1998) and Olympic Games
Gold Medalist (1996)....Had a crucial role in the 1999 World Cup final game against
China as she cleared a Chinese shot off the goal line with her head in sudden death
overtime and nailed the crucial third penalty kick in which the U.S. won 5-4...Was
named MVP of the U.S. Women's Cup in 1999 as well as an All-Tournament selection
in '95, '96 and '97.

Helped lead the Tar Heels to four NCAA titles from 1989-1992....Named to Soccer
