The Manitoba Information Protection Centre (IPC) represents a national model for public sector information protection. Manitoba's IPC ensures that government networks remain secure yet open, accessible and reliable.

Manitoba's Office of Information Technology created the IPC as part of its security and assurance initiative. The IPC provides the organized resources to safeguard Manitoba's information technology assets.

The CIO Council of Canada has selected Manitoba's IPC as the pilot for other such initiatives across the country.
