BASEBALL TRANSACTIONS

Atlanta Braves -- Recalled pitcher Scott Sobkowiak from Greenville of the Southern League (AA).

HOCKEY TRANSACTIONS

Buffalo Sabres -- Signed general manager Darcy Reiger to a six-year contract.
Montreal Canadiens -- Signed free agent center Doug Gilmour, who had been with the Buffalo Sabres, to a one-year contract with a club-option for 2002-03.
Dayton Bombers (ECHL) -- Added right wingers Brian Cummings and Cory Morgan and goaltender Karl Goehring to the roster.
Florida Everblades (ECHL) -- Released defenseman Alexander Godynyuk.

COLLEGE TRANSACTIONS

Cincinnati -- Announced that defensive lineman Antwan Peek has been suspended from Saturday's game with Tulane for receiving extra benefits in violation of NCAA regulations.
