A weekend of folk dance, music, & song at Beber Camp (outside Mukwonago, WI)
At this year's June Camp, featuring instructors Steve Kotansky (Balkan) and Carol Ormand (contra), with music by Izvor Orchestra (international) and Long Goodies (contra). Traditional June Camp delights include singing led by Sanna Longden, the ever-popular Happy Hour festivities, Ice Cream Social, Night Owl dance marathons, and the good fellowship of dancing folks from all over the place!

dances are usually held twice a year on the Dance Deck in the middle of the Shawnee Forest approx 9 miles SW of Carbondale, IL. Take IL 127 South of Murphysboro to Dutch Ridge Road. Camping is available by request.

Sing for the Cure
The Gateway Men’s Chorus and CHARIS, the St. Louis Women’s Chorus, will perform 70-minute, 10-movement original symphonic song cycle complete with narration, dedicated to those affected by breast cancer, specifically breast cancer survivors and their families and friends. It is scored for a mixed chorus with piano and small instrumental ensemble. Published by Shawnee Press the libretto is based on true stories of breast cancer survivors and their families. The performances will benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation; with 10% of ticket sales going to the St. Louis affiliate of the Foundation.

Project forming to have a summer concert series in the Cahokia Park, Cahokia, Illinois. Performers needed to take the stage from 7 to 8:30 on Monday evenings. Middle Eastern Dance In North America
Desert Moon Dance Academy of St. Louis presents internationally renowned belly dancer, Hadia from Calgary, Canada, the featured performer and master instructor at this dance extravaganza called MEDINA. (MEDINA means City in Arabic and is Desert Moon's acronym for "Middle Eastern Dance In North America".)
