 Congratulations Mar Angadiath ...

Holy Father, Pope John Paul II on March 13, 2001 established a new diocese in America for the Syro Malabar Catholics in USA and appointed Rev. Fr. Angadiath, the director of the Syro Malabar Catholic Mission in Chicago as its first Bishop. The See City of the new diocese will be Chicago. It will be known as St. Thomas Diocese of Chicago for the Syro Malabarians. Thus a long cherished dream of our community members has come true.

The new bishop will be the permanent apostolic visitor to Syro Malabar Catholics in Canada.

Indian Catholic Mission - Syro Malabar Rite and its members express their heart felt congratulations and best wishes to Bishop-Elect Mar Jacob Angadiath.
